Resiliency Training '24!

It is more important than ever to ensure that APs/DAGs have the tools that they need to be healthy resilient public servants. Years of cumulative trauma and life stressors have affected many of us and it is critical to learn the skills that can improve our ability to have a growth mindset and to be able to bounce back after facing adversity.

This August, expert faculty will be offering their expertise to help APs/DAGs navigate the stressors of their job as well as address spillover at home. The following concepts will be discussed:

  • the importance of positive emotions

  • gratitude and blessings

  • balanced thinking and growth mindset

  • goal setting and understanding triggers which cause unproductive reactions that interfere with performance, goals, and relationships

  • understanding how the brain interprets activating events and the emotional and physiological consequences (“ABC” Model)

  • effective active listening communication skills

  • meaning making and acceptance

  • spiritual, physiological, mental and emotional resilience

  • meditation, yoga, tactical breathing exercises, physical training, and nutrition

There will be several regional “Resiliency Trainings” for Assistant Prosecutors in August. You may attend whichever training works best for your schedule and location.
